Selous Game Reserve

Selous Game Reserve

Overview

A 50,000 sq km (20,000 sq mi) Unesco World Heritage Site; the Selous Game Reserve in southern Tanzania is a spectacular and largely undisturbed natural sanctuary, offering an abundance of large game, and stunning photo opportunities. Hippos, elephants, cheetah, giraffes, and crocodiles live in this immense refuge. The number and variety of game are mainly due to its diverse vegetation that includes dense thicket, forest, and open wooded grasslands.
