On your briefings our guides will remind you to take long sleeves and warm clothes for the evening which can be also very useful during the game viewings in Tarangire national park. Camera and binoculars will make your safari even more marvelous while sunscreen is essential since mostly sunny in tropical and equator strips.

Road Trip: Arusha to Tarangire

Relax on your comfortable 4x4 land cruiser as we head westward from Arusha on 120km tarmac road to Tarangire. Your road trip begins from your stay in Arusha in the morning across the mixed farms of bananas and coffee.

After several miles on drive you will start seeing Maasai villages and possibly Maasai herders who often lead their flocks of cattle to new pastures here. Across these Maasai steppe vegetations dotted by rare scattered acacia trees is home and grazing land of these natives in Tanzania. The final minutes as you get closer to Tarangire safari gate are the hand makes and souvenir shops. After a 2hours travel start your game drive in Tarangire.

Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

The park with its savannah, baobab trees, seasonal swamps and lagoons is home to huge elephant herds. Animals gather at the life-giving Tarangire River and you should see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffes, bushbucks and hartebeests to the weird-looking gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals effortlessly.

In your typical day game drive possibly seeing tallest giraffes feeding shrubs and buds over acacia trees, Tarangire is home to the huge elephants which take their moves with the slow moving African sky. Keep calm to the most temperament herds of buffalo which often feed on baobab bark to suck water from it in the dry season. On your game watching perhaps straggle for a capture to mongoose, which often does not give a chance for photograph to every traveler travelling here. Grazer call it home, possibly enjoy a visit to see wildebeests, zebra and gazelles feeding on grassland before they join their predators down the Tarangire river banks to drink. You may have a chance to visit few swamps to scan for other wild animals including Kudu and other antelopes before we drive to enjoy the other pleasurable services on your stay.
